About — Karen Herzig & WiredEarth Treasures
Where Earth Meets Artistry
Every piece at WiredEarth Treasures begins the same way — with a stone that caught Karen Herzig's eye.
Karen is the artist and maker behind every pendant in the collection. Working by hand, she wire-wraps each gemstone, crystal, and natural material into a wearable original. No molds, no duplicates. Each piece is one of a kind — shaped by the character of the stone itself.
The Work
Karen's pendants are handmade using wire-wrapping techniques with copper wire and silver accents. The materials are chosen for their natural beauty and individual markings: no two agates share the same banding, no two labradorite stones flash exactly the same light.
The result is jewelry that feels both ancient and alive — earthy, tactile, and unmistakably original.
The Materials
WiredEarth pendants are made with gemstones and crystals that Karen selects for their color, texture, and natural energy. Explore some of her favorite stones:
- Agates — banded and grounding, each slice a tiny landscape
- Jasper — warm, earthy tones with deep natural patterning
- Labradorite — mysterious iridescence that shifts with every angle
- Larimar — rare Caribbean blue, calm as ocean stone
Caring for Your Piece
Copper and silver wire develop a natural patina over time — part of what makes each pendant a living object. Karen has written a few guides to help you keep your jewelry looking its best:

- Cleaning your copper or silver pendants
- Oxidized vs. raw copper — what's the difference?

Thank you for wearing a piece of the earth.
